Privacy
A short note on data.
What this site collects, what it doesn't, and how to opt out.
Wander Saigon is a personal editorial project by Jon Myers. It's a static website — no accounts, no comments, no newsletter signup, no tracking pixels beyond what's listed below.
What gets collected
One thing: anonymous traffic analytics via Google Analytics 4. This tells me, in aggregate:
- Pageviews and time on page
- Approximate country and city
- Device type, browser, and referring site
- Which outbound links get clicked (Yodl, Google Maps, place pages)
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish return visitors from new ones. IP addresses are truncated before storage. No personally identifying information is collected or joined to your analytics data.
What doesn't get collected
- Your name, email, or any account information — because there are no accounts
- Your precise location
- Your browsing history on other sites
- Data resold or shared with advertisers or third parties
Third-party services
- Google Analytics — aggregate analytics. Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — Fraunces, Inter, and JetBrains Mono are served from Google's CDN. Google may log font-request IPs per their policy.
- Google Maps — outbound links to `maps.google.com`. Clicking them hands off to Google under Google's terms.
How to opt out
Install Google's official opt-out browser add-on, or use any browser's "do not track" setting — Wander Saigon honors it. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings also prevents most of the above.
